Operation WinBack

Operation WinBack, also known as WinBack: Covert Operations, is a third-person shooter released for the PlayStation 2 in 2001, developed by Omega Force and published by Koei. The game follows secret agent Jean-Luc Cougar, a member of the Strategic Covert Actions Team (SCAT), as he infiltrates a high-security facility to stop a terrorist group called the Crying Lions from using a deadly satellite weapon. WinBack is notable for its innovative cover-based shooting mechanics, which influenced later games in the genre, including Gears of War. Players must utilize cover, roll between obstacles, and strategically take down enemies while solving puzzles and navigating tense, time-sensitive missions.
