Platinum: Crash Bandicoot - The Warth Of Cortex

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex is a 3D platformer for the PlayStation 2 and the first mainline entry in the Crash Bandicoot series developed outside of Naughty Dog, this time by Traveller's Tales. The game follows Crash as he once again battles his nemesis, Doctor Neo Cortex, who has unleashed a powerful new enemy named Crunch Bandicoot, empowered by destructive elemental masks. Staying true to the series' roots, the gameplay features classic platforming action, challenging levels, and a mix of vehicle and boss stages across visually diverse worlds. While the game introduced improved graphics and a broader variety of environments thanks to the PS2’s capabilities, it was met with mixed reviews for its lack of innovation compared to its predecessors. Nevertheless, The Wrath of Cortex remains a nostalgic title for fans and marks an important transitional chapter in the Crash Bandicoot franchise’s history.
