World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the third expansion for Blizzard Entertainment’s iconic MMORPG, World of Warcraft, released in 2010 for PC. This expansion brings sweeping changes to the game world as the corrupted Dragon Aspect, Deathwing the Destroyer, emerges from Deepholm, unleashing a catastrophic event known as the Shattering. Entire regions of Azeroth are dramatically reshaped, with revamped zones, updated quests, and a darker tone reflecting the devastation. Cataclysm raises the level cap to 85 and introduces two new playable races—the cunning Goblins for the Horde and the noble Worgen for the Alliance—each with distinct lore and starting experiences. The expansion also adds new high-level zones, dungeons, raids, and a redesigned leveling experience for both new and returning players. With its bold reimagining of the classic world and focus on storytelling and endgame content, Cataclysm marked a turning point in the evolution of World of Warcraft.
