X Squad

X-Squad is a third-person shooter video game developed by EA Redwood Shores (later known as Visceral Games) and published by Electronic Arts. It was released in 2000 as a launch title for the PlayStation 2.

In the game, players command a futuristic special forces unit called the X-Squad, tasked with completing military-style missions. The gameplay mixes shooting mechanics with squad-based commands, allowing players to give tactical orders to AI teammates. While it received mixed reviews, it was notable for being one of the PS2’s early attempts at blending action with squad tactics.
